Last night, during one FA battle, there were 7 leechers on the Kurz side, prompting the only active player to immediately leave. Leeching is becoming more of a problem as time goes on.

People don't use bots to leech. So the leechers won't move on to botting in Nightfall. Instead, as more find out about this problem and the fact that there have been no bans, they will also try to leech. It's easy as clicking on the Enter Mission button every 15 mins or so.

Option # 1 would remove some spontaneity, but people want to get on with games just like in ABs, so it wouldn't affect it much. I heard that Anet may be contemplating something... hope it's not just a rumor.

I won't state their full names, but players named Zip & Culex have been faction farming Fort Aspenwood (Kurzick) for over 2 weeks. Every day I pay a visit to FA, I take screenshots & provide well documented evidence of their leeching. Yet today, I sign on, and lose 3 battles because of the dead weight from Zip. 1-3 leechers at a time, almost a given.

The idea that each time I win a battle despite them, they get 300g worth of amber (after some bad math), is kind of annoying.

Definitely want to see Arenanet step up and do something about this. I have a great respect for Arenanet's game design & the implementation they've put into work, but if we let some bad apples ruin the barrel, then that's just no good. If we can just get a handful of the chronic leechers (the all-day, every-day leechers) out of the way, that'd go a long way.

Amen to that. It's seeing the same leechers over and over that gets really old fast. One of them even has a Steward title. I'm glad he could leech his way to it.

As more ppl realize that nothing is being done to leechers, more will jump on the bandwagon. It's a great way to get faction (for amber/jade), as well as experience, and balth faction to unlock skills. As much as I hate the leechers, i can't blame them for taking advantage of a loophole that Anet should have taken care of by now.

That the constant leechers proly have all skills unlocked and have money from amber/jade sales is a shame.
